Senior Director of Consulting

Centara Capital Management Group, Inc. is looking for a high quality, experienced Senior Director of Consulting to join our high-energy team of CFP® professionals, CPAs, Estate Planning Attorneys, Portfolio Managers and support staff.


Essential Functions:
The person in this role must be able to demonstrate excellent selling, organizational, IT, communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Provides leadership, direction and guidance to Consulting Division.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of all operations of the Consulting Division.
  • Develops and maintains organizational structure and effective personnel.
  • Coordinates major activities through their team and appraises assigned personnel.
  • Lead and implement the business development initiatives of the firm.
  • Establishes a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, fulfills social responsibility and is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
  • Implement major corporate policies and other executive management assignments as directed by the executive team.
  • Key member of the Executive team, playing an integral role in all aspects of the organization.
  • Responsible for Budgets and Forecasts for the Consulting Division.
  • Exercise leadership role in development, evaluation, & rollout of new strategic initiatives.
  • Develop financial projections and actively participate in the strategic planning and operating plan process.
  • Design/develop/implement/drive utilization of analytic tools required to understand effect of strategic decisions impact on overall business/initiative profitability.
  • Identify, advise and provide solutions to Senior Management regarding business/initiative financial trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive establishment and implementation of all Consulting procedures and activities.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 20 professionals, and a matrix team of 40 professionals.
  • Overall responsible for annual growth targets.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated significant Business Planning, Business Development and Financial Analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication/presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team effectively communicate with all levels of management and across all functional areas.
  • Strong analytical and cognitive skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and troubleshoot complex issues under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desired Qualifications:
  • B.S. or B.A. Finance or Accounting. CPA/CFP® and/or MBA preferred.
  • 10 years or more of management experience.

As a Relationship Manager, you will receive operational, back office, business tracking and marketing support. All this activity leaves you to concentrate on what you do best, providing the best financial advice for your clients and building long-term relationships. Centara Capital Management Group, Inc., Centara Capital Securities, Inc., Centara Legal Group and Centara’s Tax Department work seamlessly together to provide you and your clients with access to a Registered Investment Advisory, a Tax Planning firm, a Broker Dealer, and a Legal and Estate Planning firm all under one roof. This will enable your clients to receive a coordinated planning approach towards managing their assets and estate. This full service approach will enable you to work with higher net worth clients and also provide you with the highest revenue potential.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred. Must have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in the financial services industry and an ability to show a proven track record. Certification requirements include Series 6 or 7, 65 and a California Life and Health Insurance license. A completed CFP® would be preferred. Candidates are required to have an existing client base.

Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to take responsibility, make decisions and complete tasks with little supervision, manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess strong leadership skills. The candidate must be a problem solver, able to offer practical thinking and approaches when applicable, and provide sound analysis and judgment when making decisions and/or recommendations. The candidate must possess a strong value system, be creative and flexible in attitude and style to adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
