Robert D. Gerhart, CPA
Director of Tax
Bob serves as Director of Tax for Centara Capital Management Group providing a full range of tax planning and preparation services. He joined the firm in 2009 following a career in public and corporate accounting. He is a seasoned executive with a well rounded background in tax, estate planning, corporations and partnerships. His goal is to provide high quality tax services to clients in a timely and cost effective manner.
Following completion of his B.S. in Accounting from Cal Poly, Pomona, Bob joined the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse in Newport Beach. He serviced audit and tax clients in Big 4 accounting firms, prior to starting his own public accounting firm in San Diego in 1983. His firm grew steadily catering to high net worth individuals and small to medium size businesses. Bob also gained experience as the Chief Financial Officer of several high tech companies, including Acucorp Inc. and Sonic Impact Technologies, in San Diego with responsibility for all facets of financial administration including international tax planning and compliance.
Bob has special expertise in the areas of international taxation and mergers/acquisitions.
Bob has lived in San Diego most of his life and currently resides in Del Sur with his wife and two children.
