Financial Planning Associate
Centara Capital Management Group, Inc. is searching for a Financial Planning Associate to provide client service support, business processing support, and client database support, as well as document preparation, for CCMG’s Consulting Team/Relationship Managers (RM). Collaborates with RM’s in the design of financial planning documents as needed for each case in accordance with RM/client expectations. Utilizes a combination of firm documents and financial planning tools to illustrate desired financial planning solutions. Exercises extreme due diligence and attention to detail while managing client data in pursuit of goal based results.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Manages data entry and assembly of planning documents for client files; Income Statement and Balance Sheet, Cash Flows, etc.
- Inputs misc. data into firm CRM and manages appropriate reporting.
- Prepares, processes, files, and mails (as needed) client communication documents (Client letters, client service forms, etc.)
- Compiles and prepares product application packets in advance of client meetings.
- Provides general office support to include photocopying of client documents, constructing/organizing client files, client meeting preparation, sales meeting(s) preparation, etc.
- Identifies additional technology and systems that could assist in execution of responsibilities.
- Reports directly to a firm Principal.
Qualifications:
- Must have 1-2+ years of financial services sales and/or financial planning experience.
- Financial planning software experience preferred.
- Must have a positive attitude, a willingness to work in a team environment, and be professional in attire and manner.
- Must be an organized and effective time manager.
- Must be willing to learn new skills and financial planning concepts.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Morning Star software preferred.
- BA Degree required.
- Some combination of Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 preferred.
- CA Life Insurance License preferred.
Quantitative Analyst
Centara Capital Management Group, Inc. is searching for Quantitative Analyst to join their alternative investment team. This position will be responsible for modeling structured finance products involving real estate options, mobility and mortality effects, probability adjusted and discounted cash flows, as well as building risk and portfolio management tools using deterministic as well as stochastic methods (e.g. monte carlo simulations).
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- A disciplined self-starter capable of managing time and deliverables.
- Must have very strong math and computer skills, focus on financial modeling, statistics and be very fluent in MS Excel.
- Must have financial background or firm understanding of financial and economic principles.
- Ability to grasp complex mathematical and financial models and design new models as new products are created, tested and deployed.
- Responsible for day-to-day pricing and analysis of risks particular to each deal and ultimately valuing/pricing each trade as well as overall portfolio.
- Responsible for maintaining a portfolio and database of trade information.
Qualifications:
- Requires outstanding financial modeling/mathematical/statistical skills.
Ability to create and manage complex financial models in Excel in order to test and analyze complex structured financial products. - Ability to multitask in a team environment and effectively meet deadlines.
- 3-5 years as a quantitative analyst.
- Experience with financial services or products a must.
- Bachelors Degree with focus in Mathematics, Statistics or Finance.
- Coursework in programming or decision sciences (extensive Excel training) a must.
Internal Sales Associate
Centara Capital Management Group, Inc. is searching for an Internal Sales Associate to join their alternative investment team. This role will be responsible for initiating and receiving telephone calls with prospective clients to obtain qualified leads, follow-up on sales calls, answer product questions, identify new sales opportunities or close transactions.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Ability to learn and communicate a unique real estate finance instrument in a manner that is straight-forward and intuitive for potential customers to understand.
- Ability to effectively communicate the product features and overcome objections or concerns in a convincing manner to gain qualified leads and applications.
- Responsible for meeting aggressive individual production goals and being an instrumental member of the organization whose goal it is to build a successful and sustainable real estate finance origination platform.
- A self-starter, goal-driven and capable of maintaining a strong internal drive to meet his or her assigned work load with little direction.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, high energy and be willing and capable of taking personal responsibility for his or her work.
Qualifications:
- Requires outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to grasp complex financial instruments and translate them into plain terms
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive goals
- Past experience with the development of new business, via outbound telemarketing campaigns is highly valued
- Experience with contact management systems such as SalesLogix or SalesForce.com a plus
- One to three years inside sales or sales support experience required
- General knowledge of the financial markets and financial services products required
- Prior real estate, mortgage or broker experience a plus
